Concept Idea: Silver

I’m learning how to do pitches to people. It pretty much comes down to self confidence and understanding your work. One of those I can do really well. One of them I’m constantly working on. So, here’s an idea of a series I’m working on that I am hoping to submit.

Rosie became a single mother when her husband, Patrick, mysteriously disappears after an argument between them. Years pass and her son, Henry, becomes a teenager, continues to believe his father will return while his mother believes otherwise. One afternoon while Rosie is out gathering herbs in the forest that surrounds their home, a strange storm hits and a bolt of lightning strikes nearby. A boy cries out in pain. Rosie rushes through the thicket believing it might be Henry only to find a silver haired boy laying unconscious in a black crater. He is mute and cannot remember his name. She calls him Silver.

This is a story about a mother trying to raise not one but two teenage boys and discover who the mysterious “Silver” is, why the forest around them is suddenly full of evil creatures and answering a letter that comes from Patrick saying, “I see you got my parchment. We have much to discuss. Meet me at Moon’s Edge no sooner nor later than 200 days.”
